Buy a deep fryer, don't use a frying pan

Don't put oil in a frying pan, turn the hotplate up to six and leave it for a bit, staining it in the process

Don't add more oil after it's already really hot.

The peanut butter will melt if the oil is not hot enough, leaving a black, tar like film on the surface.

Wait until the oil has cooled down before giving up and adding water, it will explode otherwise.

Don't lean in for a closer look. Just tip it down the sink.
