Introducing myself

Hey Everyone!

I just joined today after securing a ticket to the show in Hollywood tomorrow. I can't wait!

I've been a BB fan for many years and have been fortunate to see them up close and personal 2 times, and once in a large arena...all being 12 or more years ago. I will never forget taking the 91x party bus from San Diego to the Irivine Meadows show and then hitching a ride back from a nice couple I met in the crowd at the age of 15. I also sat next to Ian of Anthrax. :D L7 opened and they sucked. (worst live band I've ever seen).

About a year later, as a teen with too much time on my hands, I had my heart set out on landing a pair of tickets to see them at the Starlight Bowl in Balboa Park in San Diego. The night before I won a contest on 91x and begged them to change the prize to BB tickets. They stoked me with 4th row seats! I remember watching Henry Rollins do a fuckton of pushups before his set and was punching and kicking like a madman. rofl. Good times, good times

Around that time in my life, I discovered Phish and they replaced the BBs as my favorite live band (I'm ducking from your tomatoes right now). I'm hoping that I can reverse that tomorrow night. ;)

So...about me. I'm a wacky librarian, organic gardener, wife, hula hooper, environmentalist, and nature freak. I take music seriously and spend most of my spare time enjoying it.

i have to intervein on this whole L7 sucked live part.

The first time I saw the Beasties was at the Clevelanad Agora and the lineup was L7, House of Pain and the B-Boys.

House of Pain didn't attend the show because they got busted in Detroit for carrying handguns so, L7 played an extended show and they really, really, really got the crowd jumping. Maybe they played shitty for your show but I thought they jammed some fierce shit and they sounded great live.

That was the same tour and they really were bad when I saw them. They also played on Lalapalooza tour during the same time period and I still thought they were horrible. They might have just been "off" shows. I once saw Sublime and walked out they were so bad....saw them a couple of years later and they rocked my face off.
