or anyone dorky enough in the know....
I am looking for one, but know fuck all. I want something thats rear projection (cost factor, no burn in bullshit), 30+ inches, 720i or higher...in a $500-$700 price range. Anyone have any suggestions on whats good or what to avoid?

talk to matt...as soon as he got his new job, the DAY it happened, our old tv mysteriously stopped working and we just had to get a flatscreen HDTV.
seriously though, he god an amazing deal on something really nice for about $800, and before that he was considering one slightly smaller for $700.
Wait, how can you afford this now?
All I know is about the rear projection stuff. Also if you've had bad experience with a brand name it translated into their HD offerings. I avoid Sony at all co$t$.

Im only browsing at this point. The odds that one will be purchased just now is ehh...maybe early next year.
Awww jeah, tax return. Usually, post Christmas, corporate entities are getting rid of their stock. Electronics uber-emperor Steger needs to make a supreme appearance.

Don't ever buy new technology the first year it comes out. The 1st year is like a test run.
At this current point and time I own a Sony 40" XBR Direct View Tube Television. It has an amazing picture. The one draw back to it is it ways 320 pounds.

I got my 32" LCD sucker from Best Buy for about $800... that was the week after Thanksgiving. My Xbox 360 looks sweet ashell on that puppy. It's their in-store brand... Insignia. Not a bad deal at all, hombre.
open box returns!!!! ;)
