Yeah, a lot of my friends like Dane Cook and I think they expect me to as well, but his setup really bothers me. He pauses and emphasizes so people know where to laugh. Like, if it was transcripted, his punchline would be in italics. I don't like that. I like deadpan "I'm not expecting laughs" comics. Steven Wright-style.
