I don't like how 70% of their stuff I've heard have been covers. It's hard to sift through everything to find original stuff.

But yeah. Ex-boyfriend was reaaaaally into them. A lot of other jam bands too. He wasn't a hippie but he sure as shit loved their music (kinda like Brett liking hardcore, weird). And I was a good girlfriend and went and saw Moe. and other shit live with him, but I'm really glad that's over now.

that's a shame you missed the Dead,worth it just for the scene,I saw them in Oregon and San Francisco,very memorable,chocolate covered shrooms and all....30 mins of Sugar Magnolia!!!....Phish live was a very similar concept and I've never been a fan of endless noodling.....what was really amazing about Phish was the freakin gear those guy's had accumulated,amps,p.a's,organs,not unlike the Beasties buying P Floyds quadraphonic sound system,Trey A had a thing for music auctions and a whole pile of Santana tour gear from the 70's.....anyways,2 each their own indeed(y)
