One of the best albums of 2005 that I just discovered at Best Buy not too long ago. I remembered hearing him on a Blackalicious track, I think "Side 2 Side" and his first stuck in my mind as a fairly self-deprecating take on picking women up at a club. You don't really see humility in hip hop, so I was kinda excited when I found this.
He does do an Andre 3000/Mos Def manuever and does actually sing (hence the title) on some tracks, something that doesn't actually bother me. One song in particular that goes "You cook me oatmeal, You make me breakfast/And I miss you/Cause I'm hungry" is my idea of the sing/song flow. The fact that Andre and Mos take themselves as serious singers gets stuck in my craw. I would recommend this though.
I'm assuming you all will hate it or have heard it or whatever, but I live in West PA and we don't get this shit that quick.
