I hate calling people! ack! this boy gave me his phone number and said "let's get a beer" last friday and I still haven't called. partly because I'm busy, and partly because I'm terrified of calling people.

he probably thinks I'm a jerk by now. or really cool. :cool:

should I call tonight? it's 9 p.m. how about 9:30?

just call and when he picks up the phone say "hello?"

then there'll be some silence, just repeat "hello?!"

when he says something say, "so and so? did you just call me? do you realize what time it is?"

then he'll try to explain that it was actually HIS phone that rang and you can say something about just entering his number into your phone and that it must've dialed.

I'm terrified of calling people too. I dislike phone conversation in general. I'm relieved when I get an answering machine. And! If I actually end up talking, it won't last for more than 10 minutes. Rarely do I encounter people that I wish to carry a dialogue with. I prefer talking in person x 1000.

yeah well, maybe he's trying to play it cool since he accidentally admitted that he remembers the first time I came into the bar over 2 months ago. also, when we met officially, he was on a date.


well, I called. left a message. easy breezy. I screamed a little and felt like puking and went into a giggle fit beforehand, but it was smooth-sailing after that. so now the ball's in his court. lol, balls.

Yeah, I don't know anyone who really isn't scared of calling people they don't know really. I got over it with my job as a receptionist, so now I'm more confident on the phone. But I gotta do phonebanking next week, so we'll see how I hold up with THAT. :(
