sorry guys, i had to make a new thread. there are way too many pics for either drunk or family album threads, and lots of them don't even have me in it. so imma whore it here.

so. some of you may know i worked on this fabulous film called red road as the production trainee. it's premiere was on wednesday night. so, of course, i was invited!

blatant self-promotion paragraph:
you really should see it. it comes out on friday (today) in cinemas. the opening weekend really counts, and it's a fabulous fabulous wee film. it was the cannes jury prize! empire gave it 5 stars! the list says it's the best british film of the century! (!!!) my flatmate is in it! (my scene where i had a lovely prop of chat magazine to read at the back of a bus was cut due to time constraints, lolz. but my handwriting is witnessed in many scenes) anyway, yes. you really should. i saw it for the first time at the premiere and it was outstanding. and has a super shockingingly real cunnilingus scene. i still don't know how they did that. anyhoo, watch the trailer here (http://www.themoviebox.net/movies/2006/NOPQR/Red-Road/trailer.php). that ginge actor tried to snog me  at the premiere he totally had his LA girlfriend with him though so no more action for claire, haha.

anyway. the director, andrea arnold, who is a fabulous person to have as a reference on your c.v. (she won an oscar in 2005 for best short film dontcha know - overachiever!) is doing Q&A sessions at the following places for all you brits:

the curzon soho, october 27th
the greenwich picture house, october 29th
manchester corner house, november 1st
screen on the green islington, november 2nd

here is the poster incase you thought i was lying:

so. the premiere! actually, this should be named "red road after party" cos i have no pictures from the premiere or any of its "stars". i was too shy. it all started out so innocent:

my fantastic nail-job and our wrist band (incase you, uh, thought i was lying part 2). oh DAMN YOU free drinks vouchers!:

SOON all this will be DESTROYED by SWEAT and BOOZE!:

okay, so the party was at the arches in town and they had some sort of weird rotating fabric squares in one 'arch' where scenes/photographs were being projected in.

see:

sorry, these are really dark.
the person inside giving the peace signs is the location manager. it took me ages to realise that the red stuff on the floor was a RED ROAD LOLZ!

more darkness round the screen where the trailer was being played but i never got a significant moment of brightness to take a proper pic:

4 glasses of white wine and 1 cider and blackcurrant in?

so, at about 2.30am we went to the director of photography's posh hotel where residents get served at an abnormal hour. first pineapple and vodka:

the DOP in the hat and other crew members at the bar. i had a huge crush on him:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c361/nastee/IMG_3246.jpg

me accosting one of the dop's random irish friends:

okay, i'm getting bored now. in one of the random irish film school friend's hotel room with robbie teh dop and my friend from the film office. and a vodka and pineapple:
http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c361/nastee/IMG_3267.jpg

other (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c361/nastee/IMG_3273.jpg) random irish person (they literally were all irish!)

so, i went home at about 6am and went to work for 9am. i left work and went to bed at 4.30pm and slept till 7.30 this morning! what a hero. i was totally fucked. i spewed about 4 times.

but i had a great, great time and this film is one of the highlights of my 23 year old life. infact, having a killing hangover reminds me of my 4/5 months working on it because more than often i had one then, but s'all good baybee.

that's it. hope you weren't bored. i had lots of random gossip about random celebrities but it's not super interesting. party on dude!

OMG I saw her bottom!

I kinda wanted that movie to be set in a post-apocalyptic nightmare world of flying cars and guns.

haha, thanks. poor lost puppy. i look like lost things after a certain amount of alcohol, lemme tell you.

pres, unfortunately they don't allow flying cars and guns on glasgow's council estates :( sucks, i know.

ooh, i'm just reading an interview with tony curran (the lead actor) and mr. orange himself tim roth came up to him at cannes (he was on the jury there) and said that he and "sam" were in tears at the end: "sam" is samuel l. jackson (on the jury too who voted for this film to win the jury prize!)

MOTHERFUCKING SAMUEL L. "SNAKES ON THE MOTHERFUCKING PLANE" CRIED AT THIS FILM!

loves it. (y) I wish there were random irish people around all the time. I suppose I could go down to ginger's ale house where they play football on the telly at all hours. there's loads of irish there. but they're no very cute.

haha, thanks! yes. gritty. oh so gritty. gritty and, hey! compelling, too. it's got something for all the family! plus the most shocking cunnilingus scene you will ever see in your whole life. and an erect penis! (of course, the penis was fake but you're still not allowed to see even fake erect penii in the uk. i don't know how they got round that. ssshh!)

thanks everyone for the kind words

sarky, irish people make everything better. especially lovely irish boys with curly hair. he's about 10 years older than me though. but he won a moonman recently for the cinematography in that james blunt video! yessir.

freebasser - sadly, no :(
