Several other sources, including MTV News (I saw the bulletin on the channel, actually) have confirmed a new album is in the works...so the info has been out there for a while. But still, this is cool to hear.

MTV has always had love for the Beasties...rewind to spring/summer of '04 where you saw the "Ch-Check It Out" video played 50 million times a day on their channel... :D

Unfortunately the channel didn't give half as much play time to their next two singles...

You can't expect MTV to be jocking the Beasties when they're putting out albums once every 4-6 years. Everytime they release something, MTV has plenty of coverage.

oh! that's the first bboys video i'd ever seen & fell in love <3
i used to never really watch music videos, so i kinda flipped back and forth between channels and whatever then one day i decided to watch this crazy video that was playing and wow! that was the greatest thing ever :D

i had to watch it every time it came on, because i wanted to learn the words. :p

stoked?

man oh man. you ppl think that corporations care about inddividuals hahaha. mtv may be a fan of capitol or vice versa but everyone out there should know its all about the money. sorry. had to be said. i thought this was common knowledge. they dont love spears or nirvana or whatever.. whatever the flavor of the month is.. thats all they love

who's the one who decides what songs are played during those vh1 specials
and stuff, they play a lot of beasties :p

unless it's just me but i notice they come up a lot. on a lot of those shows. that's something. maybe. :o

or it's only because i'm so familiar with the songs and everything...but c'mon, watch vh1 for a half-hour, you'll probably hear like 4-5 bboys song in the meantime huh. am i right? :P

i guess so, i watch like 'Hogan knows best" and crap like that. (ONLY IF NOTHING ELSE IS ON!) but like on those shows where they talk about ramdon things they play beastie boys music, sometimes, i guess. oh on Cribs also.

Where does that interview say that Adrock will be playing drums? I'm not doubting it, I just couldn't see it. If somebody could show me it, I would be very grateful.(y)

My dad works as a security guard at the beasties studio and he told me that they're not working on a new album; They're just sitting around playing mini-basketball and drinking red bull.

I'm really really really hoping for some more punk vibes and shit. ADROCK playing drums though... hmm... thought that was Mike's job well either way next year is almost here just a few months
