the whole getting an extra hour of sleep thing is nice, but i swear, this whole sun setting at 4:30 pm deal has immediately gotten old. i feel bad for finnish people.

It's the only thing I don't miss about living in the mid-east. There is no such thing as daylight savings.

Oddly though, it actually does get darker earlier during the winter hours.

for serious though.

But yeah, I'm at least going to enjoy waking up when it's light out, because waking up at 6:30 these past few weeks have bothered me. Though coming home when it's pitch-black outside sucks.

It's funny, cuz 10 PM in Edmonton over the summer was still light out. I felt like I wasn't wasting my day if I bummed around till 12 noon because the sun was out for so long. I still have the same amount of time to do stuff now, but I feel very unaccomplished if I wake up at noon because I just feel like all my time is gone. I don't even need the sun to do most of the stuff I do, but something tells me that I have not enough time if I only have like 8 hours of light.

I'd be happy if it stayed at 4:30pm. Come back in two months and it'll be somewhere between 1 and 2pm.

i think we're the only state here that doesn't have it. there were talking of getting daylight savings back but the Premier dismissed it for the moment, he thinks that an extra hour in the sun will increase the level of skin cancer here
