so's tonight, this chick is like "are you [dorothy] and [cort]?" and I'm like, "yeah", and she goes, "I've heard all about you, nice to finally meet you!" and I'm like, "uhh, yeah, we're like famous". and she's like, "ha, yeah" and I'm like, "who are you?" and she said her name, but didn't say like who she heard about us from or anything, so then I was like, "um, nice to meet you". and she said, "yeah, I was at so-and-so's show about at month ago, I saw you guys" and I was like, "yeah, okay, um, cool" and then turned around.
what kind of crazy business is that? what am I supposed to say in response? I felt bad. but then I put fake blood on my face and everyone was fine.
I said, "happy halloween errybody!" and did a little soft shoe to make people laugh. (I steal all my mannerisms from conan) :(

I never forget a face and sometimes it's kinda bad because I'll see someone I know I know...and then go up to them and be like where do I know you from and then they'll look at me all weird and I'll just stand there staring at them till I figure it out...then it usually turns out to be some dude I dated in like 8th grades sister. I should just smile and walk away.

This is the internet, d00d. It was made for that.
Maybe this band you mentioned earlier advertises the fact that they have groupies... [dorothy] and [cort]? You must demand royalties as soon as humanly possible. Good work on the softshoe. It's like the Tussin of awkward moments.

no, she said, "[carl's] band" and it kind of made me confused because I don't think of it as his band...especially since he's the bass player. and I also know a few "carls". heh, carl. anyway, I just think she should've said who it was that told her about us, or a little about who she was...because I was kind of like, "sorry, never heard about you...and I've never seen you before in my life! so this is bound to be a great conversation!"
anyway, the band she's talking about have been our bros for a long time, I don't think we're considered groupies anymore.
