View Full Version : What songs have the Beasties NEVER performed live?

Sadly, I have never seen the Beastie Boys in concert; however, I have seen a lot of their live performances, on tv and the internet. My question for you longtime fans, is what songs do you know of, that they have never performed live? Are there any, and if so, which ones? I'm just curious because it seems like, although they have a ton of great stuff, they seem to perform the same core group of songs. I know they don't play a lot of their older stuff anymore, because of the sexism and violence, which I understand.

I think that "hey ladies" has never been sung live by the beasties. And it's a pity because it is one of my favourites.

Damn, thanks bigblu! I can't get over it, that they've never done Hey Ladies, live! I would have figured they'd have worn that one out; it was one of their biggest hits. And what's the deal with no performances of Rhyme The Rhyme Well and, Oh Word?! They've got some great songs on that list, that they never play.

They are wrong about Professor Booty only being performed at one known concert. I remember seeing them do it at least once in the 2 Boston CYH shows at Avalon. I love Beastiemania but they're not always 100% accurate with the stats.

The stats are based on the setlists we have in the Gigography. If we don't have any setlists where a track was performed, then that track is listed on the site as "No Known Performances in Concert" - it doesn't mean they never played it. It means we don't have that particular setlist.
I am sure some of these tracks have been performed live, like 'Hey Ladies'.

AstroBBoy, No disrespect intended. Like I said, I love the beastiemania site. If it wasn't for ya'll, I'd be buying up all the bootlegs thinking that they're the real deal. The interviews are great as well - One of a kind interviews for all us beastiemaniacs. Keep up the good work!
