thanks for the cd, cj... you helped me get all my chores done, i blasted the album during.

i was really feeling a bunch of the tracks on there. i rilly rilly rilly loved the cover joint you did on that, the beat was fresh... put that shit up!

my only critique is that the background can be a little louder at times. other than that, the album is very good lyrically and very tight beats-wise towards the beginning and middle.

you shoulda also thrown some of the older tracks you shared on here onto the album.

excellent work, man! i know you put a lot into it and it shows! (y) (y) (y)

Oh yeah I meant to write something in this thread. I won't lie to you guys when I first got this in the mail I was a bit skeptical. I mean I got it from a dude I know from the internet and it was free? C’mon nothing good is free. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. Overall it’s a really solid straight hip hop album. The beats are good the rhymes are good and it flows nicely. I like some tracks more than others but it is definitely good rollin round town music.

The only bad thing I can say is that the label on mine is kinda crappy so it gets stuck in my car CD player but that’s no big deal. Nice work CJ Hood

favorite track for me has to be "7172570". I like the beat, like the cyh, ic distorted mic thing going on, and who doesn't like old school wwf references?

"recipe" is good

nice cover of three minute rule

"bangin" is real nice

I'd already heard some of Hood's tracks before, but honestly I'm surprised how good this album is. Overall excellent IMO, great beats, fuckin hell there is a lot of talent around these boards!! My humble opinions:

Intro: Lovin it, perfect guitar and scratches.
Supa Rhymin': Don't like the intro drum roll thing at all, but song improves a lot. Excellent rhymes though...gets the head nodding. "Hip-hop, the way we defined it...", cool. Who's the spoken sample of?
717: def CYH-influenced! Huh! Love the Cold Crush reference too.
Feelin It: Great tune and bouncy flow...great fit.
Recipe: Ok, don't like the vocal-distort for the hook. Thought it would grow on me, but no. Prefered the original version I had.
3-Minute Rule: Excellent cover, you change it up, make it fresh and funnier. Good beat again.
Bangin': This song really grew on me. Excellent flow and rhymes. Beat is simple and nice. Two fingers to the critics huh?!
This Is My Rhyme: Love this, had it from before.
Baboom: What a fuckin' beat, best beat on the album! Who did it!
Passin' Time: A real grower, the samples mesh well for the chorus, excellent work. Just wish the vocals were higher, was that intentional?
I Ain't The One: An oldey but goody!
Resume: Clever song and dope dope dope c...j...h...o...o...d Strong finish.

Overall:
First off, your flow is better and more varied than what I'd heard before, really great rhymes and delivery.

Love most of the beats, and fits together well with vocals. It doesn't sound slapped together, a lot of work in it, very proffesional stuff.

One thing I would say that can be improved is the hooks, the songs could do with stronger ones. But I'll be rockin this in my music player for sure..like all good music it grows on you.

i was supposed to use a beat from a cd that mcduff had but never sent me in time...but i got it this week, so i'm re-recording it next week along with another 'interesting' track....so Recipe will finally sound the way i intended it to sound....
