View Full Version : this is so lame, but
i bought these new pens, and i'm really excited about them. they're such a joy to write with. they're a little more expensive, but it was well worth it, i tell you. they've got this like, gel ink, i guess, i don't really know what's up with them, but it just flows out so freely, you barely have to touch the pen to the paper. it writes so dark, so thin, so easily, you almost forget you're taking notes on civil procedure. i don't know how i ever got by without them. they're a little messy, as the ink stays wet for a few seconds after you write, so if you're not careful you can smudge the words and get ink on your hands, but it's worth the risk, really.
pens, man, this is what thrills me these days. i got a new video game a few weeks ago, i've barely touched it (but in my defense i haven't had much time), but i can't shut up about these pens. i think i officially hate myself now

yes whenever i get a new pen/marker i draw so much untill the tip isn't pointy anymore
i'm really depressed about how thrilled i am with these pens, i really can't go back to ballpoint pens. the other day one ran out of ink, and the only other pen i had available was a cheap shitty ballpoint pen, and i couldn't stand it. it was like i had to practically carve the words onto the paper, so unsophisticated, i swear.
i used to laugh at the idea of a $100 pen, but now i wonder....i do wonder...

I had a pen fetish for ages.
I don't like gel pens. They write well in the beginning but they start to get gloppy before the gel is half gone.
Bob, please tell me you're not going to become one of those guys with four different colors of highlighters.
I have an unusual pen in that it writes when turned upside down. It is used by astronauts while traveling in space. It is also useful while writing in bed, I don't even have to be on my elbows in bed to write!
Bob, do me a personal favor. Take the pen! Take the pen!

no shame in quality writing utensils

haha
don't worry documad, i don't even own a highlighter. i just underline and write in the margins. these pens are so nice, it's a joy to underline.
they do seem a little shoddy sometimes though. like the pen will stop writing, and i can see, because the plastic casing is clear, that there's still like half a tube of ink up there, but yet, no writing. so i dunno. and they go dry pretty fast.
but it's worth it. i love these things

Bless you. I'm relieved you're not one of those guys who highlights the issue in pink and the holding in green, etc.
I used to underline in colored pencil because the pages in some textbooks (rules/tax code) were so thin.

I'm buying a suit tommorow. And I'm excited about it. Hopefully my boss pays. I don't even own a tie at the moment, let alone a shirt or decent pants. So we're going to the taylor or whatever (suit shop) tommorow and since I have NFI about this sorta thing he's coming with. You gotta understand that my wardrobe consists of t-shirts, jeans and hoodies.

I love these bitches for drawing. (http://webstore.quiltropolis.net/stores_app/images/images_423/Micron%2008%20Pen%20small.jpg)
we use sharpies at work a lot, they're okay, but the ink isn't completely black, it's got a purple cast to it.
I like black pens better than blue. but I used to love the traditional blue bic, with the clear tube.

you could write upside down with the penalli pen set
in fact you could do all kinds of things with the pen set, including stab dart boards
i dunno if i've ever bought a pen, i seem to just acquire them from various places
if you ever loaned me a pen at school, i probably chewed the end of it and claimed it as my own
at work i only use pilot hi-tecpoint v5
oh yea, those bic pens with 4 colours were shit cos they were too chubby, but they were all the rage when i was like 10 years old
