i didn't expect any trick-or-treaters tonight because we live in a small gated apartment complex with only a couple of small children. it's not an area with a lot of houses...anyway, i just got a knock on the door, and i figured it was my apartment manager following up with something that happened the other day.

it was a little boy in a batman costume saying TRICK OR TREAT with a big smile and his candy bag wide open. OH DEAR GOD I HAD NO CANDY and i felt sooo bad. i hate people that don't give out candy on halloween, and i felt like such a heel saying "...oh, i'm sorry, i uh, don't have any candy" to him and his disappointed parents behind him saying "let's go somewhere else." after i closed the door i ran to the kitchen and peeled off the price stickers from some fruit leathers and ran outside to give him some (shit's not cheap :mad:) and he had already left. I SUCK

I was really sad because no kids were coming up to the door and I had a gypsy costume and everything - this always happens to us though. We get a max of like 4 groups because there's a bunch of stairs. But I put a pumpkin way out front that was all COME ON UP.

But before any trick or treaters I saw these high school age boys out by the pumpkin doing something. They tried to light something and run away and I yelled "nice try dumbass" - they stuck a firework in it and tried to light it but it didn't work. Haha suckers.

P.S. Kids don't take tootsie rolls.

As I am flying solo, I took my childrens around my neighborhood this evening with the candy I bought to pass out to kids (like a dumbass, I could have saved some dough).

So! I put a plastic pumpkin full of the candy in my wagon with my daughter and handed it out to the kids I recognized. I still have a ton leftover, I'm not much of a candy person. I eat it like it's gold when I do eat it which is almost never.

I was walking around town earlier and noticed that there were parents with their kids trick or treating. It's all good, I love halloween but, THE KIDS DIDN'T HAVE ANY COSTUMES ON!!!

I was quite pissed off. Lemme add this again, I just moved to a Chinatown and the only families with kids that didn't have costumes were the asian familes.

Even my wife snarled at them and we've passed by numerous families where they were just walking from door to door with casual clothes and bags trick or treating.

I never had this problem, my mom worked for ages in a candy-factory (and of course I HATE candies!!!!) so my house was full of candies everywhere...what a pity anyway...I guess that the kid was disappointed! Well, next year, GET READY! :D

I also live in a gated aptm complex and knew there would be no trick-or-treaters, and there weren't. I really miss handing out candy to the little buggers. I think next year i'm going to find a house where the lights are off and sit on their porch and hand out candy!! I'll probably get my ass shot or something though:(
