Tonight we went to "Scary-oake" at our normal bar and I rocked the house. I sang Devil Went Down to Georgia which just was normal and then I sang Everybody (Backstreet Boys) with my friend and I just started being like "EVERYBODY, SNAKES SNAKES SNAKES, MOTHERFUCKIN SNAKES" and everyone laughed and then I sang "The Greatest Love Of All", you know the "I believe the children are our future" song and I kinda did rapper moves and sang real high while my friend sang normal AND PEOPLE LAUGHING IS SO FUCKING AMAZING AND I WISH I COULD DO IT FOR A LIVING OMGGGGG

P.S. If you ever do karaoke don't sing a fucking ballad unless you do it funny because everybody there will hate YOU

I'm not even drunk just excited that people laughed lol

My last night at this job is tonight(Karaoke night). Bertil, the guy who looks like a paedophile with jam-jar glasses and a thousand yard stare, has offered to do the chorus of Walk this Way if I do the verses.

(y) I was drunk when I first did karaoke and I did No Sleep Till Brooklyn. It was only after that that I realized that Paul Revere would have been a more awesome choice. Cuz I fuckin' rock at that song and it's a hard one to keep up with.

I don't think I'd do karaoke unless I was inebriated. I'm shy in front of people. But after a few beers I'm all YES YES Y'ALL AND YOU DON'T STOP!

In Amarillo Karaoke seems to be popular. I see signs all over town in front of bars.

When I lived in Richmond, Va a girl I worked with would have a karaoke party a couple times a year. They were really fun but mostly funny. I found that my voice is suited for old country. I can sing the hell out of Long Haired Country Boy by Charlie Daniels, Hank Sr's Hey Good Lookin', Merle Haggard's Okie from Muskokee and All My Ex's Live in Texas by George Strait.

My mixed up Ohio/Virginia southern draw is suited for oulaw country.

PS-a flamboyant gay guy from work would have everyone rolling after he got some drinks in him and would sing Cher songs.

people get quite impressed when a girl can do beastie boys songs without missing a beat and without looking at that screen. it's my new favorite thing to be proud of. hahahahaha.

i find that the worse the song you do the better it is on kareoke. last time i did it i did Barbie Girl with 2 of my friends sisters. it was bloody hilarious. there's footage of it floating around somewhere. last time i did Down Under too, really popular at the place i used to go to.

I have seen people try the Beasties and it is always a disaster. Their style is so shotgun the words get butchered. You should be commended for your mastery of their lyrics.

Ha ha. I am awesome at karaoke, too. My friend Jane and I sung Let the good times Roll by Cars the other night. We had everybody singing with us.

So I bumrushed the stage last night, while a dude was singing 'Working Class Man' and started singing "Woah oh oh Snakes, on a motherfucking plane!". Whole place sang along.

Holy Diver is a fantastic song. I'm sure it's a formidable choice.

My sister-in-law once convinced a very drunk me to do "You Oughta Know" by Alanis M. with her, since it was the only song she knew. Spectacular failure. Spectacular. Followed closely by my follow up solo, "Would I Lie to You" by Annie Lenox. No. More. Tequila.

this is a pretty gay dream, but i've always dreamed of singing love shack at a karaoke bar. i can do really spot-on voice, at least in my head.

i need a girl or girls to help me out though and so far none have been willing.

seriously though, i'm so good

No really, you have to start with singstar on a party! It's just great.
And as icy manipulator says, the really bad songs are the most fun
to sing (as I said before: try to beat me on wind of change :D)
