Well, before I write about yesterday I just wanna say my life is complete now.

Well, yesterday was an incredible day. I left my work 4 hours early, went to my house, got my stuffs and headed to the local of the big show. I reached there around 4 pm but the gates were opened only around 6:30 pm. That's ok. I got a place in front of the stage in the first line tho.

So, I had to see 4 bands before the boys:

- Nação Zumbi: did a great show;
- DJ Shadow: did a fucking great show;
- Patti Smith: hmmmm.....she doesnt make my style but was nice anyway;
- Yeah Yeah Yeahs: yeah.....it was nice too.

Then, when the Yeah Yeah Yeahs finish their performance all the people start to get together and startto yell for the Beastie Boys while the tecnicians set the stage for the big end.
It takes a little time to prepare the stage but when Mix Master appears in front of everybody on stage all dressed in suit the people go crazy.

You know MMM intro right? So, after it the boys just enter and stop next to each other in the middle of the stage. Then the beat from Triple Trouble starts and I almost cry.

The best show ever!!!! They're awesome live.......In some moments I wasnt believing they were there. But yes, it was true. The Beastie Boys were playing in front of me.

The set list was the same as in Rio. Only the order of the songs was different.

One of the highlights of the show was the moment they finish a song and all of a sudden some men hit the stage with a birthday cake and champagne! In this moment all the crowd starts to sing happy birthday to the king. Incredible!

Well my friends! I had the best time of my life yesterday and you guys must know how I felt seeing them live for the very first time. Propably the same feelings you also felt one day.

The videos and the photos will be upload later cause I didnt have time yet ok?

And one more thing: Long Live to The Beastie Boys!!!!

Peace,

Junker!

PS: forgive my mistakes while writing cause the excitement is still making effect over me.

It was really special!!! Again!!!

Brazilian airports were total chaos yesterday due to an air controllers' strike, so my flight to Curitiba was delayed for 4 hours!!!!!!!! Me and a couple of friends arrived at the site at 10:30 p.m., we got to miss every single concert but the two last songs from the YYY's set, and the Beasties, of course. Pure luck!!!

It was worth it every second on that airport lounge and all the s*** we had to take!! Ad-Rock was really pissed, it was his b-day, after all, he deserved it. They kept asking that the Mayor of Curitiba give' em the key to the city. lol

The set was 3 songs shorter than Rio's, but we got to listen to "Alright Hear This" and the first and last parts of "The New Style". I got some videos too and I'm uploading them right now.

Junker, we never got to meet. Too bad, but let's keep in touch!

SET-LIST:

Triple Trouble
Shake Your Rump
Sure Shot
Pass the Mic
Root Down
Alright Hear This
No Sleep Till' Brooklyn

The New Style
Skills to Pay the Bills
Brass Monkey
Flute Loop
Ch-Check It Out
3 MC's and 1 DJ
Body Movin'
So What'cha Want

Gratitude
Sabotage

Peace!

from urbandictionary.com

word
A versatile declaration, originating (more or less) in hip-hop culture.

"Word" has no single meaning, but is used to convey a casual sense of affirmation, acknowledgement, agreement, or to indicate that something has impressed you favorably.

Its usage among young blacks has been parodied ad nauseam among clueless suburban whites.

"Come on, man, we're going to the store."
"Word."

Ohm, sorry, I don't. Actually, I thought the waiter was only bringing him champagne or beer, he kept calling "Alfred" all the time. And later said "he must be serving Bruce Wayne". lol

Ch-Check It Out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXTr1q78Ug0)

Enjoy!

This is one of the more entertaining performances of Checkt It Out.

From Horovitz dancing with the champaign, to Mike dancing, to Yauch deciding to not do his verse, to Mike screaming, put your finger in the air goddammit.

Thanks, Junker!
