i'm going book shopping tonight and i wanna buy some Phillip Pullman books among other things. is there anything i should read before the His Dark Materials Trilogy, and anything else you'd really recommend by him? if i can i am just going to buy the trilogy tonight

spreading the phillip pullman love.

his previous books were much more traditional kids books and he certainly wasn't in the limelight for any of them. he really came to the fore with his dark materials. it's the best introduction to him, his ethos, and his style you can get. the other books really just pale in comparison.

definitely go for the trilogy, say i. the best books i have ever, ever read. absolutely gutted when lyra's story came to an end. can't wait for the films though! daniel craig and nicole kidman woooh.

question; why would only uk people know about these books? are they not out in your area yet?
