South Toward Home is a non-profit organization created in response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
Now that the larger relief organizations have affected their roles, STH looks to fill the gaps, as there is still much that is left undone.
By using volunteer and paid labor, as well as donated and purchased materials, South Toward Home is making it possible for people to return to their homes through our Project Renewal Program.
To help a community recover, we must care for the individuals. As we all know, Katrina did not discriminate, and has left victims of every description in its wake. Together, with Project Manager Amy Hardee, we have repaired over 50 homes in the coastal town of Pass Christian, Mississippi. We have many more on STH's immediate project and restoration list in the Gulf region.
South Toward Home's involvement in the recovery process will include many phases, based on the immediate needs of individuals, and the community as a whole. STH will partner with different programs and organizations in the future to accomplish these goals.

Seriously. Why do I not live there? AGH. Wish I had money to fly out and see this since David Cross never does stand up anymore it seems like.
New Yorkers please for my sake, go see it. 40 might seem like a lot, but that's only 10 dollars per comedian and they are all awesome.
