That sure happened fast (http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/view.php?StoryID=20061102-023330-5007r).
Vegas is going directly after the proper demographic. I would love to see the Beastie Boys do a ratpack scenario (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_Pack) in Vegas for a few years.

I was gonna say citing the wikipedia article for the rat pack is unnecessary but then I remembered theres a lot of stupid 12 year olds on this board.

I might be willing to pay $125 to see Prince if he still played shit like Darling Nicky, and I wasn't required to go to Las Vegas.

That's a BIG step-up from Celine Dion and Wayne Newton.

Did you know that Steve and Eydie are still playing Vegas? I saw a billboard and it freaked me out because I didn't know they were alive.

Jesus, that would be expensive. I'd feel obligated to see every show.

why? it will be easy to find him, he seems to be getting better with age too. I guess if you live far away, but Vegas packages are cheap and easy.

Eydie had (has?) the most amazing singing voice. i have an album that she sang with Los Panchos (yes it's mexican music) and it is gorgeous. it was totally a Linda Ronstadt thing, she's about as mexican as nacho cheese. but it's still wonderful to listen to.

Prince is possibly the greatest live performer still working today. With his band or during his acoustic sets, performing his more raunchy material or not, he's untouchable.
That being said, I kind of wish he wasn't doing this.
