I seen it tonight. That shits awesome. I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time.

I don't want to spoil it...but the naked scene? (y)

Alot of it seemed to be redoing the tv show though.

It seems like something that should be enjoyed in 15 minute increments. I worry about a full length movie.

It's 84 minutes. That's pretty durn short for a movie.

I've loved him since Ali G came out. Borat's a fad now, but I've been all up on his jock for at least 5 years now.

Which is why it pisses me off when one of my friends is going with her co-workers rather than me to the movie. Bitch, you would not know who he is if it wasn't for me!

i saw it last night. shit was (y) i thought that borat might have lost his cool a few years ago and become dated like ali g, seems not.

i found it quite alarming the things that some of the americans were saying that were anti-semitic and homophobic and what not. i wonder if anyone is going to examine the film as some sort of cultural commentary on the country? shit would be interesting.

the funniest scene is the naked fight scene. omg. balls in face. dear sweet jesus. it hurt so good.

the people who made me want to barf the most were the students from some fraternity from the university of southern carolina. jesus. they're like YEAH MAN SO WHAT ABOUT THE BITCHEZ IN YOUR COUNTRY YO GOTTA DISRESPECT DOSE WIMMINS AWWW YEEAHHH *crushes beer can on head*

twas better than i expected. go and see it.

There's a a program on ITV just now about the controversies of the film.

There was a couple of segments that were redone from the tv show, which was a bit lame.

It'd be nice to know what was real and what was fake though.

All of film is real! Except for part with sex explosion, but this is being removed for graphik naughty bits.

Me too.

I saw it today because the reviews were all so good. I laughed very hard through parts of it. I thought the part in NYC was the best, and of course when he goes to the rodeo. Oh, and the dinner party. There were a lot of good bits. A lot of the encounters were clearly staged but I thought it was difficult to be sure on others. The dinner party felt real for instance, which is what made it so funny. There's something about people who are trying to be nice in the face of something awful that is so hilarious. The Jews in the B&B were clearly staged though and thus not funny.

All in all, it was time well spent. And by the way, a whole lot of people in the audience were not laughing along with me. :(

I thought the fratboys were from California. You know, Anthony and Jason was it? The ones who got really drunk and said "I'll do it. I don't even give a fuck." Unless you're talking about another scene I'm not remembering that well.

What I didn't like about the movie was the audience. I had some drunk dude in the 3rd row screaming out in a really terrible impression "MY NAME BORAT, I LIKE!" in the previews. I turned to my friend and said really loudly "HAHAHAHA! I GET IT! HE'S PRETENDING TO BE BORAT, JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIE WE'RE ABOUT TO SEE. THAT'S SO WITTY AND FRESH AND ORIGINAL. GOOD SHOW."

And then the kid next to me would repeat every joke to his friends.
Borat: "What's up vanilla-face?"
Guy next to me: "Oh shit, son did you hear that? Mothafucka said 'What's up vanilla-face?'! HA-HA!"

Yeah, we all heard it. And perhaps we wouldn't miss what was being said next if you kept your damn yapper shut.

I wouldn't really expect less from the people going to see Borat. It's a mix of people who see it because Borat is funny and takes the piss out of Kazakhstan, others see it because Borat is an asshole and gets kicked out of things for being inappropriate and they can relate to that.

The fratboys in the camper were Dave and Justin and I forget the other one. That part didn't work for me but it was also when I was getting tired of the movie. The movie was then saved by the next part where he meets the evangelicals.

I think why it worked for me is that Cohen has such a sweet face throughout. He's so good at conveying that lost quality so the character is likeable throughout.

It's dumb, but I laughed every single time he shook his fist and yelled out the window.

I don't want to see him killed because nobody goes. I feel if I don't go I'm participating directly in Borat's death. I will go and see Borat on the giant penis screen.

They frat boys were from University of Southern CAROLINA.

Anyways, by scenes that were "staged," do you mean that the people Borat was talking to were in on the joke?

It's hard to tell either way, since everyone appeared so natural.

Either way, GREATEST MOVIE EVER!
