It was signed at the same time (literally) as the Military Commissions Act and both serve to compliment each other (The John Warner Act allowing the President to send Armed Forces into the street to quell public protest and demonstrations, and the Military Commissions Act to imprison people indefinately (and use torture) under the auspice of "terrorism" with no ability to use the legal system to question the detention)
Another indicator of a Police State? The U.S really does have the basic requirements of a police state - and now, your "elections" will be stolen and the ensuing mass protests and demonstrations will see these 2 "laws" being used against Americans.
