Mick Jones of The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite has a new band called Carbon/Silicon, and they've already released 2 online albums so far this year. If you're a Mick Jones fan, you'll no doubt like it, as it's easily the best stuff he's done since the early BAD days. And it's all free, everything is right there on the site.

OOoh I just love Mick Jones!!!! :o

I wasn't even aware of his new band, somehow it hadn't registered in my head. Good to hear his voice again.
He's got quite big fanbase here in Stockholm so he's been here a few times, but I didn't know about those occations until afterwards...

REBEL MOTORCYCLES...

Good to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Gang added to the Meltdown festival - I really loved their album... and their song “whatever happened to my rock and roll” inspired me to write the title ”Here comes the rock and roll” - one of the earliest C/S songs

I wish they'd release that stuff on a record label.

It's better than Big Audio Dynamite, that's for sure!

i misread that and thought it said mike jones, like the rapper, and i was like what the fuck, why would mike jones possibly have a band, then i reread it and it said mick, which cleared it up for me.

Emm.. I wouldn't go that far. What Mick's doing now is much different from B.A.D. But to each his own! I'm just trying to be a know-it-all since MicktotheCLASHpower=love, etc., etc.
