Glad to see your Government throw a lunatic into power to wreak havoc (OBO the US govt.) and then hang him. It's brilliant. The workplace of the future.

I think America wants to see it televised. Not the good American peeps I meet on this board, but the slope-headed, mouth-breathing fuckstains who 'seem to hold the vote'-kind of Americans.

Yep. Neat little package and all that. Love all that. Let's not forget the fucking odd cunts (ie your beloved Government) who gave him all the power in the first place.

Yeah look, Justin. I'm sorry. I know this isn't your fault. I wonder about your endorsement of it, but whatever. I'm not having a go at you.

Edit: Time, though, is something we don't have a lot of.

haha i know you wasnt. Government wise: our system is wack and unfortunately we have to many "misinformed" people that vote. I believe they should come up with sometype of test everyone would have to take if they wanted to vote. If your 18, you can vote. When your going for a great job we are (or at least I am) put through: background and credit checks. I also had to take a personality test (2 of them) and I had to have extensive knowledge of the company and what I do. However, when you go vote you could be texting on your goddamn cell phone while circleing the wrong box when your voting straight party. It sucks. Enough of that though:)

Honestly, (and i believe anyone can see this) having saddam removed from iraq did NOT stop the violence. There are still people getting killed everyday. Saddam isn't the only answer, but he did commit crimes he needs to pay for (and is) regarding war crimes against him in 1982.

It's scary to see how other countries feel about us. We would be totally screwed if we didnt have the resources that we have (or get in debt for)

What you mean the resources you (the gov't) stole from Iraq?
I should add that it was done with our (gov't's) whole hearted and unrelenting support.

To a point, it seems. How many Iraqis have been killed since March 2002? I'm sure somebody with an actual political agenda (a la General Political Discussion) would eat me alive. But if you can't see the double-standard in morality, shit I don't know what to tell you.

yeah that's what I dont get, there seems to be some belief that a white life is some how more valuable than anyone elses. There has been horrific atrocities world wide throughout history that many political leaders have got away with, and yet all of a sudden Saddam needs to be taken down. *NB I am in NO WAY supporting Saddamn, his regieme OR his actions*, however, it seems a little hypercritical that it happens time and time again and yet no justice is served then all of a sudden the man that tried to kill my father has to be drawn and quartered. Why is Slobadan Milosovich still alive? He too committed horrific war crimes and ethnic genocide. America didn't step in and stop that. Pakistan has a rogue leader, and nuclear weapons, why not launch a 'preemptive' strike on them? What about Kim Jung Il (sp*)? And furthermore why do people believe that somehow, war is NOT mass destruction, where as the possibility of mass destruction through chemical/biological and or nuclear weaponsseems to be enough to wage a war and invasion to stop the potential mass destruction? More Iraqi and Afghani civilians have died post 9.11. than during the 9.11 attacks. Is that really justice? Have any of the problems actually been solved? Are the terrorists relenting?
I don't get it.

Ha. The funny thing is that John Howard and his cronies would wish they could be part of this. Our input is as necessary as Italy's (6 on the list of allies), while our media paints Australia as an integral part of this 'war'.

saddam is not, and has not been the first leader to commit heinous murders of his own people. we just really dont like him right now. but what about pinochet and his US-aided murder of hundreds of chilean socialists? i know that as an example, but there's so many others just like that.

my point is, hang one, hang them all. or dont hang any of them and make them clean mcdonalds toilets for the rest of their lives.

Too bad you reap what you sow. All this defending a convicted killer (and your going Bush is since its a predictable response) is unbelieveable. If this happened during the Clinton era you wouldnt have as many people denoucing Sadams judgement. Every person has there day, and even this country is put on trial due its decision. Its just a catch 22 because if we were to try to right countries under tearny we still be attacked 4 doing something or not. He killed his people that shouldnt be ignored.

That's funny you should say that, because Serbian war criminal Ratko Mladic is hiding out in a tasmanian kebab shop.

Do you mean "countries under tyranny"? Either way that aint a catch-22. And what makes killing "his" people any worse than killing several other nations' people, as the US government has over the past decade?

No catch 22. His people, other people's people. It's all the same. They can go after one man, or ten. Once a man's a killer, they just keep on killing and killing.

But seriously, you don't see how the U.S put the Iraqi people under the tyrant in the first place? And then blew the shit out of those same peoples' livelihoods in the name of their 'freedom'? I know I'm probably over-simplifying, but it's mighty wrong to me on all sides of this equation.
