I can't have caffeine so I had a green tea latte when I was there. Which I later found out was chock-full of caffeine. I've run across nothing but decaffeinated green teas so I just figured they were all like that. :(

heiress, is this it?
"Maple Macchiato, a shot of espresso marks the foam on top of steamed milk and maple sauce, maple drizzle is added to the top to add to the layers of flavor."
edit: nevermind, here it is. sounds the same as the above though.
"Maple Latte
A deliciously indulgent combination of espresso topped with steamed milk and maple- flavored sauce, topped with whipped cream and maple drizzle."

we don't have starbucks here...
i tried it over east though... we'd been walking in the rain for two hours, first day in sydney, locked out of our accommodation, and neither of us had our bags with us (luckily i had my phone and my friend had her wallet) got a big mug of vanilla latte.
i'm no coffee snob!
really don't recall seeing a maple flavour

There's so many uncertainties here...
So could you like, do this at home. If you bought Maple Syrup (good w pannekoeken´, too)?
Or is your coffee not good enough? Or is it too much of a bother? Or would you get sick after cup no 6?

i usually dont do flavored lattes because im annoying and i hate many tastes at once. but if you recommend this... i might try it. is it really sugary though?

I don't like maple flavor, it makes me want to vomit. like donuts with a maple glaze...hurrrgh, bleh. also I don't like coffee. so this sounds pretty much like my worst nightmare.

I concur.
'Maple flavor' is mega good, it exists outside of the actual flavor of things like 'Maple Syrup'. It has it's own wonderful flavor, which lives in delicous things like maple frosted donuts and yummy yumm bear claws.

^i get pure maple candies and put them in the bottom of my tea and let them dissolve to sweeten it. airesse knows the joys of pure whipped maple butter, too. i've been so good...there's still about 1/3 of that jar left. my will is strong.

i visited my local starbucks this morning to see whether the maple latte is happening over here. unsurprisingy, it isn't. so, i decided to try an eggnog latte instead. BIG mistake. it is probably one of the most revolting things i have ever tasted. SOOOOO SWEEET!
i've realised that i don't like sweet things. creamy, yes. sweet, no. so i'm guessing i wouldn't like the maple latte anyway.
now i feel like i'm not missing out :p

TODAY I DECIDED TO PUSH THE BOAT OUT and go for a STARBUCKS GINGERBREAD LATTE. OMG I WAS IN SEVENTH HEAVEN MOST OF THE WAY ROUND SAINSBURYS. not too sweet or sickly (i had it without cream) and the gingerbread gives it a nice kick.
THANKS TO HEIRESS & BETH (yet again) for inspiring this magical purchase from starbucks. (y)

Shit, I guess I missed the boat on these. I don't usually bother with Starbucks because here in Seattle there's a contemptful, pretentious coffee shop every five feet, but this actually sounded good to me. Someone bump this thread at Christmas time this year.

At least at Starbucks they smile at you and act like they're happy you're there. There's a great place in Cap Hill called Vivace which might actually have the best coffee in the world but I can't go there because the baristas always act like my request for a nonfat hazelnut is too much of an imposition.
Oh well, I drink mostly green tea these days anyway.
