I dunno. I went to be a water bearer dude for a guy running a half marathon one time, and he put Vaseline on his nipples, which kinda shocked me. Less than halfway through the race, and his nipples were bleeding, spotting his short, which he eventually just chucked off.

i put facial lotion on mine when i got home because that was all i could fine. it felt ok after that i guess, i should have thought about it beforehand though.

and i'm really glad mine didn't bleed. i'd try again tonight but i'm having dinner with my mom then we're going to visit my mom-in-law-kinda and i don't think my chafed erect nipples are good dinner talk

in suicide girls' live shows, they put electrical tape over their nips. i just cant imagine pulling tape off of my tender spots :|
