TOKYO: Media mogul Rupert Murdoch said on Monday he had no regrets about supporting the US-led invasion of Iraq and argued that the US death toll in the conflict was "minute" from a historical perspective.

"The death toll, certainly of Americans there, by the terms of any previous war are quite minute," Murdoch told reporters at a conference in Tokyo.

It's sad to know that FOX is the big propaganda machine broadcasted to our troops and this guy is reaping the benefits of this war and the sacrifice by almost 3,000 (not to mention our fallen in Afgahnistan) miniscule?

The families of all the soldiers who have perished deserve an apology

FUCK FOX

Well duh, compare Iraq war casualties to WWII and other war casualties and it's gonna be significantly fewer.

BUT, the amount of war dead in Iraq -- taken on its own context, without thinking of other wars -- is many times higher than what was assured of us before the war started. It was supposed to be a "cake walk" and the war was supposed to be even quicker than the Gulf War, etc. etc. The death toll should've only been maybe 50-100 since it was supposed to last only a week or two, right?
