Yeah, dug out the old Playstation and MGS and got playing. Its ghreat, its like being around old friends again, Psycho Mantis and all his freaky chums. Pure happiness. Anyone else have similar nostyalgia trips?
Putting C4 on the backs on soldiers when they're having a piss. Classic.

Man! This first MGS is pure gold. Amazing!!!

I always liked to kill the rats with psg1 after beating Sniper Wolf for the first time.

And also going in and out from the vent to see Meryl using only underwar...:cool:

hahaha....true. Amazing skills for a secret agent.

And the cardboard boxes always provide good laughs too. I remember I used to play with Snake using a suit after beating the game twice (with the 2 endings). Nice shit!

Man......I think I'll play this game again today. It's damn good!

One of the nicest parts of the game is the part of the tower where you must make your way up trough a lot of enemies throwing your stunt grenades and blinding them.

Than at the top you have to face Liquid and his Hind D and then climb down to escape. Fucking great!

Everytime I faced him I tried to kill him with only 2 grenades. If I missed one I reseted the game. I know.....i was stupid. But it was a damn challenge.

I just defeated Sniper Wolf for the second time. Things get serious from this point on. Is it wrong of me to think that Mei Ling is rather cute? I only just scraped past the Hind D though, I'd used up all my rations. Also, I couldn't remember having the soldiers in stealth gear in the lift- is that just in the version where you dont submit?

It doesnt depend on your choice in the torture room. They are always in the elevator. Just put on your thermal goggles and kill those bastards!

i completed this game 3 times. once without stealth or ammo, once with stealth, and once with stealth and ammo.

then on 2 and 3 i attempted to get the stealth/ammo things but they made it rediculously hard. also did anyone try to play 2 on european extreme mode?

There's these 2 brothers friends of mine that had already beated MGS in the extreme mode and got ranked as Big Boss. They also beated MGS 2 and 3 in the extreme mode. Im not lying. Those fuckers are fucking insane. For you have an idea, since their NES days they play the games and try to create cheats and discover the bugs of the games to report to game sites and magazines.

They used to play street fighter and mortal kombat championships. They have huge ammounts of games and accessories gained as prizes from the tournaments. I consider that as gift. A nerd gift.... lol

I never completed GTA but I used to play Winning Eleven on extreme too.

I had a copied US version of it for my modded ps1 before it was out in Europe. Unfortunatly my tv couldn't handle the the NTSC signal so I played the entire first disk in black and white.

I remember seeing the game in colour for the first time and going "Woah! The ninja is blue!".

The original Solid was golden. Next in line, comes Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. It comes out next month for PSP. It'll be squad based action, but at least it's not like those damn Acid games, with card based strategy gameplay.

But that's the best thing about Kojima games. The awesome storylines!!!

all you have to do is hold it

i agree that the MGS series is more cutscene than gameplay, but honestly, it's handled pretty well, all you have to do is hold down triangle (or maybe square, i forget), and it skips by acceptably fast.

if only final fantasy X would take the hint

Yeah, so I finished the game and my nostalgia trip was complete- I kicked Rex's arse. I did it in 12 hours 12 mins and trhe codename I got was Puma, dont know hat that means.

I've downloaded yesterday the pc version of MGS. I began to play on hard mode and now I'm stucked at Psycho Mantis. Fuck! That fag is fucking hard to beat when you don't have the option to change your controller to the 2p controller. I cant fucking hit him with bullets or punches. He reads my mind and dodge them.

Someone has a good tip to beat his skinny ass??
