My mate has one in his flat. Its one of those HD big fuck off ones, and we watched Empire Strikes Back on it and it looked weird, it was like Live tv or soemthing. You know the way film looks like film, but tv (especially live tv or a stream off a digi-cam) looks one way? Well this looked like that! and it looked slightly fast, like sped up. Distracting! Anyone else found this?

Ill stick with regular old tv please.

Movies, I can go either way, because on DVD, regardless of what TV you use, you get a decent picture.

It's dumbasses who still have regular sdtvs today that makes it look like that. I have an LCD HDTV and I hate watching the sd channels. even the movie ones. give me HBO HD and HDnet anyday. I wish charter had more HDTV channels though.


Save up a little bit, then go out and get yourself a new decent HDTV. Mine was less than $800(go newegg!) and I love it.

yep, plasma sucks. It's a gas and only good for 2-5 years. I just bought a 40" Sony flat screen with LCD and I'm impressed by the way my ps2 and xbox games look. Now I'm going to have to break down and get a ps3 when it comes out.
