....because, clearly, they're pushing this thing.
This was San José, California, so I don't know what other regions did, but...
These "I voted electronically!" stickers are more than twice the size of the regular "I voted!" stickers, and they were a more eye-catching design, as well. The paranoid in me thinks it's not a small thing to make "I voted electronically" be the "hip," "progressive" method of voting. (Note that there are no "I voted ABSENTEE BALLOT!" stickers, even though the numbers of absentee voters are growing in leaps and bounds -- but then, there's a physical record of the votes cast, isn't there?)
The closer we get to making this whole system one of electronic data and zero accountability, the closer we get to armaggedeon, man. I'm totally serious. You thought President Bush stole an election -- just wait until Dow doesn't even need a middleman anymore. :(
