Random works nights out

Has anyone here been out for a small afterworks meal and seen all the top brass a bit worst for wear?

You know, really respected directors who after a few drinks the tough exterior begins to crack.

Then the following day (today) they're right back in 'stick in the mud' (although slighly coy) mode!

It's the funniest shit ever. Like watching your mates dad dance at a wedding (y)

I work (if you can actually call it work), and in fact I'm going out for drinks with my team tonight. This is our first social outing as the teams were all changed recently, so we only ever see each other at work.

I have my first night out with people in my new job in a couple of weeks time - think the plan is to go bowling (yuck) and then for a meal. I am dreading it. Mostly because the first time I went out with people in my last job, I got drunk and fell in a ditch and couldn't remember most of it. I fear I might not have learnt my lesson.

Actually I have been out drinking with one of the women I work with. We were on a 5 week training course at the airport next to Stansted Airport, and one evening we went to O'Neills in the airport terminal and got drunk on Magners. We had to hold each other up on the walk back to the hotel, not easy as I'm 6'1" and she's 5'1"
