it does.

for the uninitiated, see here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fxR4ZXd9yE). (great 80s video btw)

it was only a couple of weeks ago i found out who actually did this song, and that this woman wasn't, um, a man.

but i've been rocking out to this for years on tha dancefloor. oh yes. someone needs to do a remix. right now. someone probably has. let me know!

bye!

I loved them when there were four of them and they did 40s numbers. They would go on Carol Burnett's show when I was a kid. I'm stockpiling extra copies of the old vinyl. They had a country hit with Fairytale too.

Oh, and I wish there was a video of them doing He's So Shy to the bartender on Love Boat. That's the kind of shit we need on Youtube.

Fun fact: When Michael Jackson met Bruce Springsteen, all Michael knew about Bruce was that he wrote a Pointer Sisters' song (Fire might have the best pause in pop music).

(I didn't like the Jump-era songs but I was happy they had the success. )

I'll even forgive one of the sisters for doing a video with Bruce Willis.

If you were to explain the video to me, which consists of a pseudo-male stripper, a guy dressed up as a robot moving like a robot, and two guys in leotards playing with fans I'd probably punch you in the ass. But this video is quite entertainging!

We Are Family is played out. This is the real freaky shit.
