so i was recently captivated by how perfect heiress' eyelashes are, and had to have whatever mascara she uses so that i could have long, non-clumpy lashes.
thank you, heiress, for telling me about lash stylist. I never would have bought a comb style type of mascara were it not for you. product:

well i'm not sure about this mascara. i will try it tho, but i swear by the white stuff that you put on before the mascara. i've invested in it pretty heavily for the mo. it totally transforms your lashes. maybe i'll try this maybe-lline when i've run out of my current stash, but i find my white booster difficult to give up. maybe i'll combine the two to devastating effect! :)

if anything, gelatin or other byproducts. most lipstick, i know, has fish oil in it...and yeah, it's tested on animals. maybelline (a division of l'oreal) supposedly doesn't test its finished products on animals, but they haven't stated that they don't test their ingredients on them. which means they probably do.

i was trying to edit that post, when my computer crashed.
there are three make-up products i spend money on: foundation, compact and mascara, or anything else you put on your eyes. anything else i use l'oreal or whatever. in my many years of experience i've found that the expensive stuff lasts longer (mascara) and is better on your skin.

I was having the same problem. The only solution I've come up with so far is to start from the very roots of the lashes and wiggle the comb through to the tips. This causes less clumps and doesn't allow the lashes to stick together as much. Also if you use a totally clean mascara wand after you apply, it will take off excess product and the clumps and it will separate the lashes more/better. Hope that helps.
befsquire
11-17-2006, 07:48 PM
i just pull the wand out slowly, like i do with every other mascara, to make sure there's not too much on it.
i thought when i made this thread that there'd be more posts about other products, etc., but the power of heiress' eyelashes has made people from all over pick it up, which is awesome. bobby thinks that heiress and i should both get some free from maybelline, because heiress brought it to me and i brought it to everyone's attention. if that's how it works, i would like to bring louis vuitton to everyone's attention at this time.

so, for those who paint your nails, you really, really, really have to go buy this:
http://www.seche.com/images/Product/Image112.gif
i painted my nails one full week ago, put this topcoat on, and they did not chip at all. normally, my polish chips in about 3 days. this stuff is worth all $9 i paid for it. (i repainted them today though, because my nails grew.)
description from seche.com:
Seche Vite
Dry Fast Top Coat
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is acknowledged as the world's finest top coat. Its patented formula allows it to penetrate through the nail lacquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a much more durable finish which is guaranteed not to yellow. Seche Vite is unmatched as a top coat leaving the nail silky feeling, stronger, more durable, absolutely will not chip and creates the highest gloss of any product on the market today. Apply thickly, get a nice bead on the end of the brush, then set softly down on the first nail painted and watch how Seche Vite flows over the wet nail polish self levels and will not drag or streak the underlying manicure. It takes time to master the application and when perfected it is possible to apply in only three strokes...keep trying. Seche Vite will naturally thicken so make sure to keep the neck of the bottle clean and tight at all times and if it gets stringy add a few drops of Seche Restore and roll the bottle slowly adding additional drops until consistency is fully restored.

Well, I've seen most of both series but I couldn't resist. Having said that they have been sitting on a shelf for two months and I haven't looked at a single disk yet.
I think I'm saving them for my retirement or something
I have way too many series and movies I still need to watch. I should stop buying and downloading them though :(
