WRONG
well yesterday i got bored and decided to try on ass loads of my clothes (not at once but i did that before and called myself confatty) CAUSE i lost some weight over the last few months and GODAMN i was able to squeeze my ass into almost all of my pants which didnt work out since 03 anymore then tried on shirts and they did fit aswell! ..all those years i couldnt wait to wear my stuff again ..i could only ever wear 3 or 4 different outfits anymore cause i was too fat for anything else and had/have zero money, especially not for expensive fat ass clothing.
but aslonger i searched through my clothes as more frustated i got cause i woke up and smelled the cut and realized that most of it isnt my style anymore ..it looks all teenager/unisex like but i like it all classy and more feminine now
i wish i could just throw it all away and get new stuff
i hate my clothes, i hate my shoes, i hate my jewels, i hate having no money, i hate making girlie posts, i hate to whine it out but atleast i dont hate to hate
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
and p.s. my mum doesnt want me to sell my stuff online
p.p.s. december/x mas is coming and im worried to gain on weight again

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
Organise a clothes swap party. My girlfriends and I used to do this once in a while. Each persons brings about 10-15 items that they have that are in good shape, but that they just don't want anymore - sick of it, not your style any more, looked better in the shop than it does on you, whatever. You all get together, throw it all into a big pile and try on eachother's stuff. Obviously this works best if you're all reasonably similarly sized, or if you have enough people that all sizes are well represented. But it's a great way to get rid of things that you just are never going to wear again, and pick up a few new (to you) things in the process.
There is the danger that you will not find things from the group you like (as I recall, these things always ended with some people taking home an armload of clothes and others leaving with little or nothing) - there's no guarantee. But you've still had a nice get-together with your girlfriends, so it's cool.
If I recall correctly, you are pretty young, right? So make sure that you and your friends get the OK from your moms or whoever on the clothes you are putting in to the swap, so that the next day no one's in trouble and knocking on the door to get her stuff back, mmmkay?

yeah, this is a good thing.
use it to pull an entire new page on shit, totally change up your room, and get two or three pairs of decent or older vintage jeans and rotate.
even when I don't have dough, I know I am only steps away from decent second hand stores to replenish my fresh styles.
new clothes make me happy. usually moreso if it's something I know I got for practically free and no-one else owns.

i always love the trendy stuff, but i generally don't buy it because within 6 months, you're all "what the fuck was i thinking when i bought that?" it's such a waste of money, and i really can't waste money on shit that won't be wearable next year.
unfortunately, the classic things i like are also out of my price range. *sigh* if only ralph lauren would come knock on my door to give me lots of free clothes.
anyway... back to your dilemma. the holidays are coming, so ask for clothes or money to get clothes, and buy some staples that you can wear over, or with, some of the trendy pieces you have while you build your wardrobe back up. that's the only advice i have since i'm not sure exactly how far reaching your fear is on second hand clothing (for example, would that phobia include women's shirts?).
Lyman Zerga
11-11-2006, 12:54 AM
example: of course it would! armpit sweat :( i know it gets washed and anything but still..
most of my clothes arent trendy and i mean they never were
i try to avoid trends but it's easy since most of it is crap anyway (here they are)
ALL i ever get well mainly get are clothes at x mas and b day
this year ill get boots, a pullover, a waistcoat and two pants but thats not quite enough
im thinking of selling my stuff to a second hand shop or charity the hell out of it hmm

i usually don't try things on at stores because i'm paranoid that some sloppy fat ass dude is watching me via camera whilst eating powdered donuts. so, part of the time i find out that i need to go return the item. the other part of the time, i decide that i don't care what the fat ass is doing and i try it on and then get bobby's opinion before i leave the store with it.

i hate it!! i always get all panish and yell at my mum to get in front of the cabin and hold the curtains ROFL
one of the main reasons why i get my clothes from catalogues now
it was a hobby for my ex best friend to get into cloth stores and try on as much as possible with the plan to buy nothing..just to see how it looks on her

i wanna take you shopping so bad!
you should bag all that clothes up, take it to some trendy vintage shop, they'll salivate. since the 80's thing is becoming preogressively played out, the 90's are back. (i hate this, i really do. come up with new ideas, pls?)
anyways, make some money out of your clothes, maybe, if the fear isnt too big, you might be able to pick some items up at that store, else... h&m is always pretty good with sales and not ALL their stuff is last trend. sometimes, they have nice classic pants and some beyond-one-season shirts and whatnot. :)
Lyman Zerga
11-11-2006, 09:23 PM
that would rule
and yeah cloth revivals suck ass unless they bring back 50s clothes (y)
too bad ive never seen a vintage store around here but we have h&m atleast and some of their stuff isnt too bad i guess
well anyway i gave some of the clothes to my sister and some to my mother ..i had that idea before but i didnt think they would like it so now i have even less clothes but feel a bit better cause the worst cloth sins are gone now .. bye emo shirt :(
and i was searching through catalogues for ages, tried to make THE perfect list of stuff i wanted ..changed this, changed that then i finally hit it yesterday! like thats it! then saw you can only buy shit from there til end of january :( cuntiefag! cause we only have enough money for that when the organ of my grandpa (the instrument) gets sold and i dont know how long that takes

yeah I know how you feel I"m exactly the same.
EXACTLY!
Well not exactly because like some of my clothes don't fit me anymore it's the other way round (they're too big) but a) can't throw them out because my weight fluxuates so much I'll probably need them again after XMAS b) I had a b) but now I forgot it.
Why doesn't you mum want you to sell your clothes online?
I doubt I could give away my clothes online. They're that bad.

oh ok.
I'm planning on having a garage sale.
Planning being the operative word since there's stuff in my garage from like 2002 that I"ve been planning
did I say I like to procrastinate?
Oh well I'm just going to put a heap of signs up out side op-shops that say cheaper than op shop clothes! Cause since I dont want them anyways I dont really care what I'd sell them for it's just that if I can get something for them it's better than nothing since I didn't get them for free. After that I"ll just get the op shop to collect whatever's left over.
Yeah well one day anyways.

11-11-2006, 11:43 PM
i always wanted to do that but here you need loads of paper work and permission shit til you are allowed to do that since we have no garage nor a yard

Man you have to get paperwork to have a garage sale? What a pain in the arse!
What about a market stall, not one of those classy craft markets more like a car-boot type market.
I'd do that if I had a boot.
or a car for that matter.

well technically its not a house its a unit. And I dont own it, it's a rental.
But it does have a lock up garage but then this is Australia. IT's UNAUSTRALIAN not to have at least a backyard and hopefully a garage.
Anywhoooo post pics of your clothes so I can steal your fashion sense since I dont have one.
Hypothetically of course since I can't afford new clothes either.

well I'm not so sure about that jumper (pullover to you) cause anything that length would make me look shorter than I already am...
And no way would I wear those shoes...or that skirt although they're nice I just couldn't pull it off I'd feel all classy but still act like a bum and it would just end up wrong. However I do like the shoes the girl in the skirt is wearing. And those pants are awesome I actually have a pair kind of like them, only grey and not denim. And not as classy cause they came from valley girl.
