since i did this whole promotion deal on the board for the last album he released last year i thought i might as well do it again.

some great songs on this new one. you people looking for some fresh additions to new-york hip-hop need to check it out. he's gotta be considered at least within the top 10 of mc's so anyone in that list deserves a listen. the album is getting great reviews as usual too..lookin good!

wanted to get some snippets from every song but all i found was these two, first one a dj premier production:

the format (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCvupVeD0-8) (video on you tube)
game of life (http://nycballa88.imeem.com/music/8KJNQVDS/game_of_life/) (audio)

anyway go buy that shit since no one else is doing it! underrated as hell.

AZ is always so hit and miss...every album he has done has some really good shit on it (like "Problemz" for example) sammiched between some fairly dissapointing filler. I think its production mostly, and its too bad because with the right backing he could make a really good album.

Doe or Die is incredible in both flow and production. AZ is underrated indeed

I thought that AWOL was actually his best album overall. AZ's Chillin and Never Change were especially sick. The Format isn't really as good, I don't think. I like Sit Em Back Slow, though.

It's alright, but he's had better albums. The guy needs to try and put together at least one classic someday.

Doe or Die son...but it did have 2 crap songs and a remix, but we've discussed this b4.

I think Sugar Hill and Your World Dont Stop are classics. The rest of the album was good, but not enirely classic. Ho Happy Jackie, I Feel For you, We Can't Win and Doe Or Die were mehhhh. My opinion, of course.

The remix for Uncut Raw was better than the album version, btw.

Agree, but also Rather Unique, Mo Money(though not the best Nas collab) and Gimme Yours are

Gimme Yours is like a The World is Yours rehash. Rather Unique is better than both of those songs though. I think Mo Money, Mo... was just too long.

Gimme Yours is like a The World is Yours rehash.
Those two are pretty different in terms of content and production, with Nas song being the better of the two...not a rehash but one is better, still think Gimmie Yours is good when not compared with World is...

I think they have their strong similarities. Mostly in mood. Plus the whole Nas singing the hook the way that PR did for Nas thing. I don't know. But Rather Unique is still a better song than either, in my opinion.

It's alright, but he's had better albums. The guy needs to try and put together at least one classic someday.i dont know about that. i liked final call better than awol which was the unreleased album that came the year before but got leaked on the internet before it's final touches and release. awol felt too chopped up to me. the songs were too different to all be on the same album. came off more like a mixtape to me in that sense. it's still an awesome album though.

this last one i wouldn't know yet..only had it for a few days but so far i'm feeling it more than awol.

either way, he's still able to put out shit comparable to doe or die, which is pretty amazing.

AWOL had the least amount of filler, in my opinion. I think that's why it appeals to me most. I think it held together pretty well.

i dont know about that. street life sounds like something that could have been on pieces of a man (not saying that it's a bad track i love it) and is just a 180 from a track like az's chillin' or can't stop. and envious should have just been left out. but anyway im starting to make it sound like i dont like awol. it was the best album i ever came across in all of 2005 so yeah. just saying, this album might even be better cause i haven't heard a weak track yet and unlike awol this feels more like an actual album.
