i had to dress up for this important meeting on thursday, and i had to wear my fancy shoes, for the first time since i bought them about 3 months ago. and they're very handsome, i got loads of compliments about them, possibly because they were impeccably clean on account of me not taking them out of the box for 3 months.

but they were so painful! i imagine a corset would be more comfortable, because the motherfuckers just kept digging into my heels with every step i took. fortunately the first person i complained to about it suggested a remedy, she said i should try putting band-aids over the vulnerable spot, and that would help, and thank god i did, because i doubt i'd have made it through the day without it. i woke up at 8 AM, put the band-aids on at about 12, and already i had big gaping wounds at the spot where the shoes were digging into my flesh. that helped alot, it no longer hurt to walk (i was limping by 11), but i've still got those open wounds on my heels. i don't think they're gonna heal anytime soon either. even when i wear my comfortable shoes, it aggravates the wound. my socks all have red spots on them by the end of the day and it's november so it's not like i can wear sandals everywhere i go.

i tell ya, being stylish ain't easy. good thing i don't bother most of the time

they are sexy-ass shoes, i'd have never expected to receive a compliment on my shoes before, but i did, i received quite a few.

but fuck those shoes, it's not worth the price of blood (literally!)

most guys can't walk in stilettos. that's quite a talent you have there.

i'm trying to think of a better response to this than "hahahahaha" but i'm having trouble

It has taken me a long time to come up with the perfect strategy for my professional wardrobe: I wear sparkly necklaces and show a lot of cleavage to distract people's attention from the fact that I'm wearing well-broken-in Docs on my feet.
That strategy may not work for you, though, Bob. Sorry.

i have a nice pair of black shoes that i don't actually mind wearing aorund, and they look pretty sharp. my old brown ones were probably more comfortable than my sneakers even.

i do have a nicer pair that are kind of painful, but never had a problem with wounds forming on my feet

and here's the damage (there's an identical cut on the other foot but it's really very hard to take a good picture of the backs of both of your feet)

i guess it doesn't look that big, but it feels bigger when your shoe is digging deeper and deeper into it with every step you take

i bought some new shoes on saturday and wore them today. they're really comfortable, but i think i should've got black instead of the dark brown. they probably didn't come in black, but they should. actually i can probably get some like leather paint and make them black come to think of it. they're not particularly stylish or anything, tho. That's the price you pay for comfort. My stylish shoes are pretty uncomfortable too, but not wound inducing uncomfortable. You should probably like, get the right size and stuff. Or choose comfort over style at least. The ones I bought (the stylish ones) I got a size bigger cause I knew that they'd be giving me hell otherwise. They probably look a bit clown footed, but you know what they say about guys with big feet, so it's all good.

I've had a few different styles of this brand (http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/category.jsp?categoryId=300206)and they were both extremely comfortable straight out of the box.
