You can hear a shitty version of it with asinine yelling all over it here (http://www.sendspace.com/file/2y6sn8). I think this is probably the first song I've heard from Hip Hop Is Dead that I'm actually really feeling so far.

This will probably be the talk of the entire hip-hop world for the rest of the week. The beat has 90s feel to it. If Nas were smart, he would make this one of his singles as soon as possible.

that's a cracker of a song! excellent.
does anyone else though, think that its a bit of a diss to nas that he's not on "kingdom come" but jay is on "hip-hop is dead"? like he need's jay on the record and not vice versa?

You just dont like Jay period (sure you will say you did b4 Blueprint 2). His flow is incredible on this, although Nas rides the beat better. Jay sounds diffrent on here then his new stuff, unless you DL'd Kingdom Come (the LP)you dont have much to compare his flow to. Its a amazing song and met my expectations.

Well not sure...maybe the 2nd of the 3 songs they did will be a bonus on Kingdom Come...Im just happy they didnt make the song corny by hyping up the fact they on the same record in the song and had an LES instead of the predictable (Kanye, Neptunes,Swiss) do the beat

^ But a Premier beat would have been neutral ground.
Preemo's always given these guys his best shit. I don't even know who he's been better to, overall. And it'd be long overdue.

But that would have been too predictable (although it would have been the dream)...then people would complain about how Premo didnt come "hard" enough (in comparison to the beats he has give to both). With LES really there is not one standout classic to compare this beat with.

Life's A Bitch.
But yeah, I'm sure LES wasn't concerned about tarnishing his incredible track record or anything when he made that beat.

Classic beat cause of LES or Nas or AZ? I mean he just looped the Gap Band's song almost exactly minus Olu Dara and drums...his best work/known was, how ironic, Sugar Hill...least to me.

nope i don't know why, but it had an incredibly slow d/l rate.
and i'm not having much luck with it. i just tried to open it and computer said:
"03 - nas ft jayz- black millitants.mp3 does not exist. It may have been renamed, moved, or deleted since it was downloaded."

Ok. Just click this (http://www.spinemagazine.com/music/november/nas/blackrepublican.mp3).
Or click here (http://rapidshare.com/files/3380040/Big_Mike___Statik_Selektah_-_The_Sun_Still_Rises_In_the_East.zip.html) if you want the whole mixtape it's off of.
Rap mixtapes generally suck, though.

Jay lyrics are better to me but Nas flow is as vicious as ever...the question is if the CD will be as good if not better then Stillmatic or just another I Am...after all Nas tried this same route b4 (mainstream producers mixed with LES, Primo etc. ,high profile guest) with I Am and people bitched.

hahaha funny since the majority of rappers, hip hop critics and fans would say your not making sense with that unfounded argument. But your call just think you wouldn't be able to give any valid reasons other than "he annoying"

fair enough, but im not the majority of rappers or hip hop critics, im me.
like i said he just doesnt do anything for me. i feel people like him and jock his songs because "OMG hes jay z, anything he does has to be hot". thats really how it is with him. anything he makes is pushed so hardcore by executives and labels and commercialization and radio and clubs that it hassss to be hot even if its its just ok, and the fact that theres lots of other hotter stuff out there.
its more who he is, than what hes making that makes people like it. but like i said its my opinion.

As with all rappers, and people are so hyper critical they will find something to give them reason to shit bout.

Exactly but your call he is good though (for God sakes he "freestyle" all his hits), shouldnt shit on the man just cause he has millions of fan and he "doesnt do anything for you

They all try to hard to be black...espically Stu Scott...makes it seem like its easy to be a broadcaster shit.
Jay-Z looked unsure of himself though...

The new XXL is a good read, espically 4 you haters since Jay feedin y'all...given he makes a "snap" at Method Man (sorry Mike)...guess thats the reason why the Wu rejected guest spots on Kingdom Come...2 my dispointment.

In reponse to Meth complaing about Def Jam....
That basically that Meths album flopping commercially is on Meth a little bit, that Meth didnt meet a big time mover and shaker in the company to AFTER his album was done....thus contributing to the lack of marketing

Def Jam released the Roots new album and Meth's on the same day, which I thought odd, even if it probably isn't. I don't know. I'm not God.
