It sounds like the beginning of a bad joke but it's true.

Had my parents come up with my dog and cat for the holiday weekend. Went to go visit the grandparents yesterday. Realized I pretty much never want to see my grandfather again, that man is such a prick. I do miss my grandma a lot though. Sigh.

served a lot of steaks, realized I have to break up with my boyfriend, and found out that my parents are letting me have the whole basement to myself so it will be like my own apartment, jeaaah.

Thursday
Ajax - Ado Den Haag
Shitty cup game. Ajax won 2-0 but it was tedious
Friday
Peeping Tom featuring Rahzel and the Dub Trio
Mike Patton is still amazing.
Saturday
Watched movies and some stand up with a friend of mine
Sunday
Ajax - PSV
Good performance but lousy finishing, Ajax lost 0-1 and is now no longer in first place.
I am absolutely knackered.

friday i had the day off from class, so i drove to meet steger for lunch at work. after we ate, i went back to his office with him for a few hours and helped him put together his cubes (he still hadn't upacked them from his old office!) and messed around there for a while. i went back to the mall where we ate and shopped around for a bit (the container store = RULZ) before i realized my 3 hours of free parking were up. i was fifteen minutes over, and had to pay 7 bucks. oh right. almost forgot, went to a coworker's apartment at about midnight to share a few drinks with more coworkers. i always feel a little uncomfortable when i'm the only one not smoking weed. before i knew it, it was 3 am.
saturday we slept in a bit, then did some ikea-ing, planning for our new place. got sharky's, i ate the biggest fucking burrito i've ever seen in my life and i WASN'T EVEN THAT FULL, and felt like a hog. we cleaned up around here, then friends came out to meet us, went to a bar and saw this amazing, raging phenomenon (http://www.teresarussell.com/indexnetscape.htm) playing to about 5 old people, then saw Borat and were very disappointed.
today steger's playing bass with a friend, i'm cleaning up and doing homework, and then it's grocery shopping time.

I was selling tickets for the Stockholm Filmfestival at the House of Culture. On Saturday afterwards I went to the library where my friend's son's new band was playing their first gig. Their saxophone player is in Australia and the drummer didn't turn up so it was a bit *meh* My friend's other son, ex-husband, sister, her kids and her mum was there as well and as it was ex's birthday we decided to go out and eat at the Chinese round the corner. They were too crowded tho to get all ten of us by the same table so we decided to go to another one a few blocks away. On the way we passed a video store (the kids wanted to have a movie to watch later) and they were selling out VHS's really cheap. I bought six.... (Rockstar, Adaption, Orange County, Crow 2, Dogma and Coffee and Cigarettes) so I had to go and get some more money from the hole on the wall. The others went to the restaurant and my friend followed me to the hole. On the way we bumped to a friend of mine who used to have a record shop. He'd wanted to go to a gig, but it was totally sold out so he was just walking about. We asked him to join us and it turned out he knew the birthday boy! They'd been to a same gig in London on New Years Eve 1980! (and he was always at record fairs which the birthday boy also oft visited).
We had a nice meal, a few drinks and a pleasant evening. Later the oldest of us continued to another bar for a couple of drinks. It's been a long time since I've out with so many people so even tho it was rather quiet evening we had a great time!
