View Full Version : Apparently I'm ego-centric, lazy, frivolous, ungrateful and self-centered
Big fight with my roommie tonight. He doesn't agree with my sleep schedule, the way I use my time, the way I prioritize. My parents are paying for college while I work with youth ministry and this guy pays his own way by dividing up his time with different jobs. I'm 'immature' and I live in my own little world and don't carry my weight as a team leader.
So I guess that's me.

did he say this? if so, so what? i, personally, don't live life to carry other people around or to show them how stuff gets done. i like my own little world as well.

Basically he's saying that despite leading a bible study, planning the weekly events and spending time with the kids I know I somehow fail the team by not sending out e-mail reminders for everything and not visiting the highschool every opportunity I get.

Sounds like he's telling you what to do, and how to live. That's not a roommate's place.....not even close. He's a douche, mang.

I kid you not, I wrote exactly the same response.
Sometimes I just don't post these things because I can't be bothered & it's not worth the arguments why I think that etc.

Well you know, only you can decide if there is any merit to what he has said. I would be willing to bet that he is neither 100% right nor 100% wrong. Maybe he's only 10% right, and so you shouldn't be terribly concerned. But maybe he's more like 80% right, and there are perhaps some aspects of how you are living your life that warrant further sefl-examination. He's holding up the mirror; it's up to you to decide how you feel about the reflection.
You could either listen to Ms. Peachy's wise and worthwhile advice or do like I would do and put pee pee in his shampoopoo. (y)
