our dress code is biz casual here but when I have events I have to be all glam from head to toe and usually these events are after 5pm so it really sucks to sit here glam all day because by 5pm my hair is flat and I am Miss. poopyiwanttogetoutoftheseheals Pants.

I cant dress pretty even though Im not in the lab all the time and around natural fibres hating acids and solvents all day
though I do have to go in there on the random days my talents are still needed

anyways, sure I sit in the office all day now looking over results and calculating this and that but multiple times during my day I see that a sample has been mixed up or mislabelled (basically the biggest sin in the business when you receive up into the thousands of core samples from a just a single site/company a year and with all clients totalled we have about 200,000 samples go through here) which can lead to someone being given the go a-head to drill in an area which never actually contained a economically feasible deposit of gold etc aka BIG OHOH
so that means I have to go into the back and root around in rock dust city looking for shit or go outside into the yard, which is basically a sea of crushed rock piles about 6-8 feet high with no room to walk between them, and so I have to jump from orange tarped pile to pile looking for the one that contains the sack O'core Im seeking to I can check the 10 digit tag number for verity
and yes Ive slipped and fallen before and wrecked the shit out of whatever I happened to be wearing that day, or other days i get sprayed with compressor fluid :mad: so I dont go for pretty when I dress for work each day

I'm business casual here, which I like a lot. However, when I first started working here they got upset that my skirts were above my knees and I had to get old-lady skirts. So I wear my uber-sexy boots with them and I think they're upset by that too but they can't say "stop wearing such awesome boots" because it's not against the dress code.
