It's nice to see them making progress! They used to use the heads of thier enemy's...and remember a real football was originally made from an inflated pigs bladder with a leather casing....

First of all, it's not "afghanistani," okay? It's Afghan. Second of all, I just so happen to be Afghan, and while I don't agree at all with the killing animals for sport and I'm not a proponent of buzkashi, I don't think it's really all that nice to make fun of things you don't seem to know much about. Oh, and third of all, Afghans never used "the heads of their enemies" for anything. Maybe years of wars set us back hundreds of years, but we're still humans. Sheesh.

You look at that with disgust, but look at the shit that is happening in your own country with slaughterhouses and such.
Muslim countries don't have slaughter houses because they only use and eat halal meat.
This board is full of people who don't know what they're talking about.
That's what you're here for though.
If it's me, it's sarcasm. And I'm never wrong. So just look out for that.

I'm really not angry or upset or anything, but I suppose it's just one of those knee-jerk reactions when someone like steps on your culture or something. Whatever. For the most part I find everyone on here just lovely :D .

hmmmmm...."The national game of Afghanistan is Bozkashi, a game resembling polo, played on horseback with the decapitated carcass of a calf. It was originally played by Afghanistan's Mongol conquerors using the head of an enemy, but the headless calf was substituted to show the peasants what the Mongols thought of farmers. The Taliban forbade this game during their tenure because it involved gambling and seemed to be too much fun for a people whose spirit they were trying to break... "...mongols were also "afghans",potatoes,potatos.....

I'm not offended. But the "afghanistani" thing is true. It's just "Afghan" for the record, but whatever. I'm over it.
