I hate John Edwards and it has nothing to do with politics. He's a total slimeball from my home state. Plus he's a Tarheel fan. That right there is enough to hate him.
Now, he's out campaigning against Wal Mart while at the same time a staff member is using the Edward's name to get a PS3 from....Wal Mart:

and you must admit, it's pretty much of an asshole thing that his kid (the kid of a millionaire ambulance chaser) makes fun of other kids who has shoes from Walmart... is that what liberals mean by compassion?

so do you uh, read the articles you post?
Edwards said Thursday night that he and his family do not shop at Wal-Mart but that a volunteer aide acted on his own initiative.
"My wife Elizabeth was looking for a PlayStation for my kids," Edwards said in interview. "A young man who volunteers for us, apparently without our knowledge, was looking for a PlayStation 3 for himself and offered to look for one for us. He was not aware that Wal-Mart doesn't provide health insurance or decent pay for many of its employees or of my efforts to change the way Wal-Mart treats its employees."
"He made a mistake by using my name," Edwards said. "He was simply trying to help."
as for the thing about his FIVE YEAR OLD SON making fun of another kid for wearing wal-mart shoes, wow, what a blow to liberalism that is. a five year old kid made fun of another kid, stop the fucking presses.
you are so lame valvano, i don't post here often anymore, but there's no way i can't comment on how lame you're being right now
goddamnit valvano, i seriously have a headache right now thinking about how lame you are for posting this. i can't believe it. i mean i was kind of on the verge of having one already, but this definitely tipped the scales. well done. well goddamn done.
i mean seriously, just stop and think about this for one brief second. why on earth would john edwards condone it? of all the places that he could hypothetically go to and drop his name and try and get a PS3 for his kid, why would he specifically tell the staff worker to go to wal-mart? even if (hypothetically) he were a hypocrite his vitriol for wal-mart was political fluff, why would he specifically try and get a PS3 from them? he'd still have to keep up appearances, and he has to know that wal-mart doesn't like him, so namedropping wouldn't work on them and in fact it would be likely to backfire.
there is absolutely nothing about this incident that speaks ill of john edwards, i'm sorry. i'm a skeptic by nature, but there's just absolutely no chance that this was his idea.
i can't believe people swallow this shit

Bob said it all. I've rarely laughed myself so silly.
Valvano...there exists plenty of dirt that's far more damaging on plenty of Democrats...just bide your time and wait until right before the election to reveal it...a la Mark Foley.....seems to work better.

I just want it to be clear that I think Edwards is not the best choice for Prez in '08, but this kind of mindlessly-drivelous attack on someone's personal character is beyond the pale of hard-hitting political discourse, IMO.
Lets all go to Wal-Mart and drop Edwards name for a Playstation.
maybe we could enter bush in this PETA contest

the most disgusting part:
"While the rest of America's working families are waiting patiently in line, Senator Edwards wants to cut to the front," Wal-Mart said in the release.
please.
the most disgusting part:
please.
that'd be like bush running a campaign ad about how john kerry is a millionaire
oh wait
(i know, democrats do the same thing too, no need to tell me, i just hate elections in general, which is too bad, because it's one of the few times i get to participate in government)
