I use Creative Mediasource, because it came with the Zen. But MediaMonkey is a free one based on the same engine pretty much, and it was really good.

foobar. I don't need any extras in my player and this one suits me fine. With FoxyTunes in my browser window all is well in the world.

yeah I have creative media source as well...

I'm debating if I should update to wmp11, it has stopped launching when I click on a music file and I'm considering moving to something else

I just uninstalled Fruity Loops and it fucked up my Media Source, I wonder if it wiped out a dll or two for WMP as well

I use winamp with some plugins. The plugins are pretty indispensable to me though.

How so? Maybe I can learn something.

I used to love making my own visualizations but it gets boring after a while.

Nothing hugely obvious - I've tried a few different sound modifier type plugins (I'm kind of embarassed that I can't remember if I have one on it right now) but the most important for me is just this little plugin called "Findit" from Thurston Vogel. It might still be on winamp's site...but it just lets you set a hotkey to search for a file by filename, and the hotkey works no matter what program is currently in focus, so you don't have to minimize everything etc.

I just use the open/dir to make my playlists of what I want then and keep my music organized in ways that I can open what I want instead of creating lots of stupid playlist files with iTunes.
