It's just...wow. Ignorance and racism aplenty! I'd like to say that this kind of thing is rare down there, but my dad sees this shit all the time there and sends it to me on a regular basis. :-/

I have heard the theory that the USSR gave MLK funding a couple of times. It's pretty plausible, since they gave lots of money to pregressives that might just cause an overthrow of their government.

"In 1962, Krushchev, the premier of the USSR stated that the USSR would bring down the U.S. with civil unrest, internal strife and division among your people."

That was part of the famous "We will bury you" speech. He admitted not long after that the USSR would not bring down the US, it's own working class would.

It's funny, because my parents live in a county that's mostly Democratic, but the ones who are Republican are like SUPER crazy. Apparently I'm going to hell for being a Democrat and an evolutionist. They're called "Letters to the Editor." They'll publish things of this nature so as to incite a pile of enraged letters and (scarily enough) a pile of supportive letters. Keeps the kettle boiling.
