ok, so everyone's peeing themselves over that mascara. post some other recommendations here!

i'm all about skin care, and i've had several people ask me what products i like the best. here are a few of my faves:

http://www.dermae.net/fcimages/PRODUCTS/large/8100ea_LG.JPG
Derma-E's Scar Gel
"This unique blend of botanical extracts will help soften, smooth, and diminish the appearance of scars, especially those that are lumpy, bumpy or discolored. The herbal ingredients help breakdown scar tissue and encourage healthy natural-looking tissue growth. It is equally effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks, burns, calluses and other skin hardenings, and will help heal minor burns or skin overexposed to the sun. This non-oily formula will not stain clothes."

(works great on stretch marks. you wouldn't believe it. i used it religiously all summer and whatever marks i had have faded so much...they used to be awful, and now i'm not self-concious about them at all. works wonderfully on acne scars too.)

Derma-E's Clear Skin treatments

(there's a 1, 2, and 3 - cleanser, blemish treatment, and moisturizer. they don't overdry your skin, and they're good for both oily and dry complexions. i've got wicked oily skin and most moisturizers make it worse. this one feels like nothing else i've used. it goes on really cool and calming, and thick yet not oily. i used to have to switch products every few months when my skin got used to it - i've been using this stuff for 3 years now and i swear by it. the cleanser doesn't foam up but it totally removes dirt and oil, and the blemish treatmen rocks. it totally kills zits without overdrying at all, and takes out redness. good shit.)

all of these are less than 20 bucks each, and will probably last you a good 2 months or so each.

if you have extra dough to spend, i really, really highly recommend Alkaitis.

(they're a small company and their site is shitty.)

but their products are incredible. hands down, the purest shit i've seen. all organic, all plant extracts, no fillers or preservatives. and amazingly, it works. i was given a sample kit like the one above, and i thought my blemish-y skin wouldn't take to it. within about 3 days, my skin was fuckin' glowing. the cleanser, the toner, the day and night creams, the eye gel...they were all heavenly. and the body oil smelled fantastic. i was able to stretch out that one little kit to last almost a month (that's how little you need), but god damn i can't afford $55 a bottle for each product. but if i could...oh lordy. someday.

if you get dandruff or have seborrheic dermatitis (like me, hooray) this is the only shampoo and conditioner you will ever need.

doesn't overdry, or make your hair greasy. removes debri and crap, while the tea tree oil helps fight off the fungus that causes flakes. smells awesome and tingles, too! i find if i use any other brand, even for one day, it comes back with a vengeance. this stuff is rulz. their other products are nice too. i use the magnetic styling wax for my hair.

bigen hair colour - this is the stuff i use.
it's like this powder that you mix with water. no ammonia, so no stink. and it stays there permanently. i mean like, permanently permanently. it won't come out EVER

and its cheap as hell too. seriously, this stuff puts all the other mainstream hairdyes out there on the market to shame.
i can only find it at the chinese emporium.

only $2.50 in the ethnic/black area of drugstores... $10+ if you buy the less effective brands with fancy packaging

ooOOOoooh! that looks rad zorra!

when i used to dye my hair black, i used Herbatint. (there's a ripoff brand called Naturtint. DO NOT USE THAT SHIT.) it's no-ammonia too. all plant enzyme based.

they redesigned the label when they came out with those FLASH FASHION colors. hah! anyway, it comes in all different colors from blonde to brunette to black, and it's pretty permanent. i've found it does fade over a few months, but it doesn't wash out. and it doesn't destroy your hair like conventional stuff does, nor does it stink or burn. i love it. covers grey well, from what i've heard.

Oooooooo...I love the E-Derma papaya and soy milk toner. It's super gentle, but it does the trick.

The cleansers I'm using these days don't seem to be working, however. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for more e-Derma stuff. That place I used to buy it from had a limited amount of their products.

Thanks, cosmo. (y)

that stuff's nice, but it's made for more mature skin, methinks. and really, toner is toner. i use whatever's cheap and on hand for the most part for that. but as far as the derma-e...i might have some samples of the moisturizer lying around. send me your addy and i'll send you some with a christmas card and mix cd lol!
