It's the same for me, a gathering of family to have a turkey feast, with too many side dishes to count. I plan to eat more than I can handle this year. That is my goal. I will not leave that table until I have eaten from every dish possible!

What are your plans?

Mine are up in the air...

as of an hour ago, i was preparing to pick my parents up from the airport and have our traditional dinner at my house

now, i may be jumping in my car tomorrow after work and driving 9 hours to L.A. with all the rest of the fucks on I-5 in the dark with a 15-lb turkey in an ice chest

Oh jeez, I hate driving for extended periods of time. Because I've come to the conclusion that all drivers are assholes. No matter how good of a driver someone is, nor how good their intentions are, they will ultimately have their prick moments.

Well, good luck, kll. Drive carefully.

And skra, I'm sorry. All I can advise, is to order take out for yourself.

going to my Moms. It's my birthday too so we are having all the usual stuff, with cheese enchiladas for Dad (vegetarian), and a cake. We usually hang out all day and watch movies.

Ill probably be spending this weekend going insane in vancouver trying to please the 6 people Im going to the rolling stones concert with which is an inane pursuit because there is no way all of them can be kept happy with the planned activities all weekend but Im always the goddamn peacemaker but I may break down and say fuck it
and Ill perhaps be visiting old boyfriends since im there too, one of whom will probably cause me to curl up in a ball bawling at some point but some shit you cant avoid eh am i right!

my thanksgiving's gonna be awkward

it's the first time i've been home since i've started law school. there are gonna be SO many questions, only they're going to be the same exact questions

"so how's law school?"

"oh it's hard and i kinda wanna quit"

"what kind of law do you want to go into?"

"i dunno, i kinda don't like law"

and so on

Not home with mr.peachy where I want to be, unfortunately :( and it's his birthday too.

Instead I'll be at a Cracker Barrel somewhere off I-94 in Michigan. Whoop-de-friggin-do.

No family this year. :(

I have off on Thursday only so that's not enough time to go see my parents. So my co-worker (who's in the same situation) invited me to her place for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow night, we're gonna bake pies and drink ourselves stupid with another 7 of her friends. Here's what they have so far:

1 - 24 pack - Yuengling variety pack
1 - 24 pack - Heineken
1 - 24 pack - Dominion Lager
1 - 24 pack - Amstel Lite
2 - 12 packs - Blue Moon
1 - 36 pack (cans) - Miller Lite

Ohhh man. It's on like Donkey Kong. I'm bringing wine and whiskey, too.

Then on Thursday I'm going over for a big dinner. I'm excited, I get to meet new people, yay!
