Inspired by the Sigur Ros thread, who listens to what music which is sung in a language other than their own?
Me, I have a dubious penchant for mediocre German musician, Xavier Naidoo. I also own a CD by the Italian smoothie called Eros something which I accidentally started to like when I lived in Belgium. Otherwise, French hip hop tends to be pretty good and I fell in love with Anita Mui who was a Cantonese singer. I can't understand a word of her songs who cares.

Planet Hemp have some pretty sweet stuff. they're brazillian
I listen to a lot of Japanese music, mostly by pop artists. Occasionally, though, some soundtracks I listen to will have tracks sung by foreign artists from Italy and Russia, such as Ilaria Graziano and Origa.
Like right now, I'm listening to the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society soundtrack, and as usual from the soundtracks, composer Yoko Kanno, brings all walks of life on her work. There are new Ilaria and Origa tracks on this.

Check the two Le FLow Samplers, they are both very good and the RZA Euro Cd. This should give you a good starting point.

I listen to a lot of stuff from other countries, but there aren't too too too many artists singing in foreign languages whose stuff I'm all up on: like, I can't wait until a new album comes out by so-and-so. Maybe Stereolab? Orchestra Baobob, Bebel Gilberto, Elíades Ochoa, folks like that. Bossa-nova, Cuban Son, etc. The international stuff I listen to most tends to be instrumental -- Indian classical music is pretty big for me, and ehru from China, Astor Piazzola's stuff is great, and I love a lot of other stuff from all over South America, too.
I guess I have some classical music in foreign languages which I listen to -- Rameau, Grieg, Massenet, Goudimel's psalms, Beethoven, Mahler -- but, for the most part, I'm not really big on vocals in classical music. I need small doses, for some reason, even though I think it can be beautiful. There's something just too mannered about it for me. I dunno.

Omara Portuonda, Ibrahim Ferrer Ray Baretto, Ruben Blades etc for Latin Jazz.
For French music, Isabelle Antena is good for some laidback Jazz/Pop I'm ALWAYS in the mood for. And I like a lot of Françoise Hardy.
And even though it's actually American, I think that The Gulag Orkestar (http://www.amazon.com/Gulag-Orkestar-Beirut/dp/B000F5GO0A) by Beruit is easily one of my favorite Experimental Eastern European-Styled Folk Accordion albums ever. EVER.
