is more emotional and hard-hitting than any of the political shit on To The Five Boroughs.

creepy, I just picked up Kingdom Come and that's the track I'm on.
and yes, I agree. Could be because Jay isn't counting himself out of it.
The BBoys sound like their just whining.

meh.....i dont see the point in comparing them.
and as for "minority report" it self, its an ok song, its not like its anything we havnt heard already. at least david banner tried to claim the CIA (in cahoots with the devil, of course) purposely broke the levee's....

Because there is no point in comparing such different artists. Apples and Oranges...

This songs a perfect example of how far he's come with his delivery. Compare the way he's spitting on this song to the way he was rhyming back in the Reasonable Doubt days. He puts a lot of emotion into his delivery now.
That being said, I don't think he should keep doing the whisper thing. Everybody from Lil Wayne to Fat Joe to Jeezy to The Game is doing that shit now.

True. He's generally come a long way since then. His style has evolved a lot, and his beat selection has changed to reflect that. I hardly ever listen to his earliest shit anymore (apart from Reasonable Doubt and a handful of selected tracks) as it just seems like an undeveloped version of Jay-Z.
Good point about the whisper thing, it is kinda played out. He does do it much better than those others you mentioned though.

What do you mean there's no "point"? This is a board for discussion, I think it's a worthy topic. If you don't have anything to add, don't post.
And anyway, you can compare different types of politically minded songs quite easily, ie in terms of seriousness, style, message, relevance, production, etc etc.

they're different, but commenting on that on a board where people make posts like "Rage Against the Machine or Bjork?" seems ridiculous.
