im so sorry for you. i never thought it could hurt to have a pet die, but when our old dog got hit by a car, it was like a family member died

I didn't cry when my dog died a few years ago, not for ages. Then one day, a few weeks after the event, I just cried my arse off.

I bawled my eyes out over him a few weeks back too. I miss my pooch :(

Sorry for your loss :( :( (n)

Bob's dog died not that long ago, he's doing ok. He'll probably jump in here and help you out. His dog was with him for something like 15 years so, it was very emotional.

Losing a pet is losing a good friend. It might be a little while before you are ready to cry. But then one day you will come in the door and you will have forgotten that he/she isn't going to be there, and when they don't come running to greet you, then it hits you. And then you'll feel quite sad. You'll get through it, though.

my little yorkie died two years ago. He was 13. It was the first time in 6 years that I had cried!

I miss that little smelly urchin.

Sorry about your loss
