"WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - Peter Jackson says he will not be directing a movie based on J.R.R. Tolkien's novel "The Hobbit" or a planned prequel to "The Lord of the Rings."

In a letter posted on Theonering.com., Jackson and partner Fran Walsh said an executive from New Line Cinema had called to tell them the studio was moving ahead with "The Hobbit" without him. "

Peter Jackson did an amazing job with LOTR and now they took him out from The Hobbit?? Fuck them!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

He's making Halo films and games instead...

Nice.

I loved the Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings when I read them as a kid... The films spoiled it.

Tough day at the office for Pete....he's remaking "The Dam Busters" now....

I dunno he's working some "Halo Wars" game thats coming out on 360. I read it on a nerd game site so it must be true...
